Kosas Revealer Concealer: Why It Replaced My Tarte Shape Tape
I wore Tarte Shape Tape for nine years. Then Kosas dropped Revealer in 2020 and I haven't bought another tube of Shape Tape since. Here's why this $30 concealer changed my entire base routine.

Kosas launched in 2015 as a "skincare-meets-makeup" clean beauty brand. The Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer launched in 2020 and quickly took the title of "best concealer for mature skin" from Tarte's iconic Shape Tape.
What It Is
A creamy, hydrating concealer in a 0.20-oz tube with a doe-foot applicator. Retails for $30. Key ingredients: Caffeine (depuffing), hyaluronic acid, peptides, arnica (reduces appearance of darkness), and pearl powder for subtle brightening.
How It Performs
The texture is the key innovation. Most concealers are either matte and full-coverage (Shape Tape) or dewy and light coverage. Kosas Revealer manages to be medium-to-buildable coverage, hydrating (does not crease), naturally radiant finish, and long-wearing (8-10 hours without setting powder).
For mature skin specifically: this is the first concealer I've used that doesn't accentuate fine lines under my eyes.
Final Verdict
Kosas Revealer is the best under-eye concealer on the market for normal-to-dry, mature, or texture-prone skin. At $30, it's well-priced for the quality. If you've been using Shape Tape for years and finding it doesn't work as well as it used to — switch to this.
