The Beauty Find is an independent beauty publication. Our editorial standards govern how we test products, how we write about them, and how we score them.
Editorial Independence
The Beauty Find does not accept payment for editorial coverage. Brands cannot purchase reviews, positive mentions, or inclusion in our 'best of' lists.
Brands cannot review, approve, or request changes to our content before publication.
Our editors are never told what to write by brands, PR teams, or outside parties.
Editorial decisions — what to review, how to score it, what to recommend — are made exclusively by our editorial team.
We do not participate in 'sponsored content' that is presented as editorial.
How We Acquire Products
The Beauty Find acquires products for review in three ways:
Purchased by our editors
The majority of products we review are purchased by our editors using their own money or a The Beauty Find editorial budget. These products are selected based on reader interest, editorial relevance, and editor curiosity — not brand relationships.
Provided by brands with no strings attached
We occasionally receive products from brands for review consideration. When we do, we disclose this in the article. Receiving a product does not guarantee coverage, and it never influences our score. We return or donate products that we choose not to review.
Purchased by readers and reported back
For some reviews, our editors purchase products that readers have specifically requested we test. These are disclosed in the article.
Corrections Policy
We are committed to accuracy. When we make factual errors, we correct them promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted at the bottom of the article with the date of correction.
If you believe we've made a factual error in any of our content, please contact our editorial team. We take all correction requests seriously and respond within 48 hours.
BeautyScore™ Methodology
The BeautyScore is a 0-10 rating assigned by the reviewing editor after personal testing. It is calculated as the average of six equally weighted criteria:

Ingredient quality, formulation sophistication, texture
Performance (0-10)
Does it deliver on its claims?
Longevity (0-10)
Wear time, lasting results
Value (0-10)
Price vs. results vs. alternatives
Packaging (0-10)
Hygiene, usability, sustainability
Ingredients (0-10)
Safety, efficacy evidence, transparency
BeautyScores are assigned by the reviewing editor and are not subject to editorial review or adjustment. Brands cannot appeal or request changes to BeautyScores.
