The Team
Meet our editors
The Beauty Find is built on the expertise of five editors with real careers in beauty — makeup artists, estheticians, K-beauty specialists, and journalists who've spent decades in the industry. Every review you read has a real person behind it.

Founder & Editor-in-Chief
Emily Carter
Emily Carter has spent two decades testing beauty products for major publications, but she founded The Beauty Find in 2022 because she was tired of seeing the same recycled "best of" lists with no real testing behind them. Now she leads our editorial team, personally testing every foundation that crosses her desk and obsessing over the science of mature skin. When she's not reviewing products, you'll find her gardening, drinking too much chamomile tea, or convincing her grown daughters to wear sunscreen.

Senior Beauty Editor
Jessica Thompson
Jessica Thompson spent 12 years as a working makeup artist before deciding she'd rather write about products than carry seven brushes in her purse. Based in Brooklyn, she covers everything from drugstore dupes to luxury launches. Jessica has tested over 400 lipsticks for this publication alone and still hasn't found one she likes more than a soft, peachy nude. She lives with her partner and a deeply unimpressed cat named Olive.

K-Beauty Specialist
Mei Park
Mei Park is our resident K-beauty expert. She grew up watching her grandmother layer essences before "10-step routines" had a name in the West. Mei has visited over 30 Korean beauty labs in Seoul and reads ingredient lists like other people read novels. She's particularly opinionated about snail mucin, sunscreen, and why American moisturizers are usually too heavy. She lives in LA with her two senior cats.

Skincare Editor
Lauren Davis
Lauren Davis spent a decade as a licensed esthetician before moving from facials to feature writing. She's mapped every retinoid, acid, and peptide on the market and can tell you within ten seconds whether a serum's ingredient deck is genius or marketing. Lauren has rosacea-prone skin, which means she's been the unwilling test subject for hundreds of "for sensitive skin" claims. She lives in Austin with her husband and a barely tolerable golden retriever named Biscuit.

Contributing Beauty Writer
Sarah Mitchell
Sarah Mitchell writes the kind of beauty reviews that read like she's telling you about her week. A 15-year lifestyle journalist, she covers the intersection of beauty, wellness, and real life — what works when you have three kids and four hours of sleep, what's worth it when you're 40+ and finally have disposable income, and which products live up to their wellness-girl promises. She lives in Portland with her husband, two daughters, and an ever-rotating houseplant collection.
Our Commitment
Editorial independence is everything.
Every editor at The Beauty Find is hired for their expertise, not their follower count. They write what they actually think. They score products based on personal testing, not brand relationships. They are never told what to write by brands, PR teams, or outside parties.
