Glow Recipe launched in 2014 as a K-beauty curation site, founded by two Korean women in New York. They began producing their own products in 2017, leading with the now-iconic Watermelon Glow line.
What It Is
A water-based illuminating serum with niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and watermelon extract. Comes in a 1.35-oz dropper bottle, retailing for $35. Key ingredients: 2% niacinamide, watermelon extract, hyaluronic acid, polyglutamic acid, and a peptide complex.
How It Performs
Application is gorgeous. The serum is lightweight, absorbs immediately, and gives an instant wet-glow finish that primes skin beautifully for makeup. After 8 weeks of morning use: visible improvement in skin radiance, slight evening of skin tone, better foundation application. No noticeable change in pore appearance (the 2% niacinamide isn't strong enough).
